HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1967 Knox Little Athletics Centre was established and was made up of 7 clubs based at Boronia High School.\u00a0 Knox was the 23rd Centre to commence hence the Knox 23 on the uniforms.<\/p>\n

In 1969 Boronia West was one of 11 clubs now running at Chandler Park, Boronia.\u00a0 At this time we had a membership of 73 Athletes and we were the 7th largest club.\u00a0 Some of the other clubs during this period were Basin Heights, Sherbrooke, St Johns, St Josephs and Studfield. Our uniform was a navy blue t-shirt and white shorts. Ask some of your parents what it was like running at Chandler Park.<\/p>\n

In 1977 we moved with the Knox Centre to our current home at Knox Park. In 2003 we changed our name to the Boronia Bolters.
\nIn 2008\/2009 we had a membership of 66 athletes and we are one of the larger clubs at the Knox Centre.<\/p>\n

In 2009 we changed our uniform to a white, blue and black singlet with our traditional lightning bolt and black shorts.<\/p>\n

During the track season the club is situated on the grassed area next to the children’s playground.\u00a0 Look for the Boronia Bolters banner and our marquee provided by our sponsor, Ferntree Gully Nissan.\u00a0 Most club member find a comfortable spot around this area to base themselves.<\/p>\n

Each club at the Knox Centre is affiliated with schools in their local area.\u00a0 Our “feeder: schools are:<\/p>\n

Boronia Heights Primary School
\nBoronia West Primary School and<\/p>\n

St. Josephs Primary School<\/p>\n

Attending different schools does not preclude any of our athletes or future athletes competing for our club.<\/p>\n
